2017 ACM SIGHPC Emerging Woman Leader in Technical Computing Award Winner Announced

Ilkay Altintas, of the University of California’s San Diego Supercomputer Center, has been named the recipient of the inaugural ACM SIGHPC Emerging Woman Leader in Technical Computing award “for research leadership that makes distributed scientific and technical computing applications more reusable, scalable, and reproducible.” Read more about Dr. Altintas.

2017 ACM SIGHPC/Intel Computational and Data Science Fellowship Winners Announced

SIGHPC and Intel have announced the 12 recipients of the ACM SIGHPC/Intel Computational and Data Science Fellowship. The fellowship is funded by Intel and was announced at SC15. Of the 12 students named as winners this year, nine are women and five are underrepresented minorities in their country of study. The winners received travel support to the SC17 conference in Denver, Colorado (USA), where they were recognized at an awards ceremony. They also received a complimentary membership in SIGHPC for the duration of their fellowship.
